UPDATES COMING--- PLEASE CHECK BACK SOON
The Spielers (German for “players”) programs introduce the youngest players to basic soccer skills and overall physical coordination, all while having a lot of fun. Each training session focuses on individual ball work and continued development of basic soccer skills. Teamwork and cooperation will be incorporated when the players play 4v4 games at the end of each session.
At the youngest ages, there are significant developmental differences between kids that are just a year apart in age. Therefore, we have 2 different Spielers age groupings- U4&U5 on Monday nights and U6 on Friday nights. We do want each session to appropriately challenge each player, so please talk to the coaches at the session if you have any concerns or questions.
What do players need to bring?
- Size 3 soccer ball
- Water
- An adult helper
- Wear shin guards (preferably covered by socks), molded cleats or athletic shoes, and your green U6 Spielers uniform from the fall (we will get new players uniforms the first week).
Can I watch the sessions? Parents are welcome, and encouraged, to stay and play.
What if the weather is bad? Families will be notified via TeamSnap if sessions are cancelled due to inclement weather.
Training is held on Friday nights from 5:45-6:45 p.m.
